Nigeria's Electricity Regulator Calls for Stronger Cybersecurity Compliance

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has called for greater cybersecurity cooperation across the electricity industry, warning in October that digital threats can disrupt interconnected power infrastructure. The regulator has also advocated a sector-wide emergency response mechanism to help electricity operators coordinate incident reporting, containment and recovery.
Utilities, regulated businesses and infrastructure operators require secure audit trails, automated compliance monitoring and incident-response procedures. HPC helps organisations evaluate regulatory obligations, strengthen internal controls and improve enterprise compliance processes for an advisory package of $540,000.
